This place is a joke! The owner is a drunk! The full kitchen doesnt have a oven! They do have color tv just bring your dvd's or vhs tapes cuz it only gets one channel out of canada. The internet is dial-up and doesnt work most of the time. Your verizon cell phones wont work here. This place is a disaster waiting to go up in smoke with all the fire code violations. Dont say I didnt warn you ! Only reason for one star is the snow and groomers. Trails were awesome!
I just stopped for ice and fire wood as I was camping near by. The people were friendly and polite.
Rented UTV got ripped off for 400.00 dollers on my credit card owner mistake but he won't make it right. Room not very clean,plumbing issues better off staying down the road
The Winter Haven is our favorite getaway....spacious rooms, full kitchenette, warm blankets, good movies, and the absolute best water in the UP. The showers are hot and the views are spectacular. We traveled there in the summer and rented ATVs and just rented snowmobiles over Valentine's Day weekend. Winter Haven is in heart of the best riding with beautiful views which include Lake Superior and rock hunting. JR answers all your questions and is a great host.
