We just spent several days here and loves every moment. The park staff is great, so informative and helpful. The bathrooms and showers were really clean and we'll maintained. Our campsite was supposed to have a patch of beach to fish from but had been flooded, which is beyond park control, obviously. Still a nice campsite with a great lake view (#45). And the very best part was that it was a very short walk across the street to Lake Superior.
Very nice campground. Lots of improvements made recently to the electrical service. Bathrooms were cleaned frequently. Typically quiet in the evenings. The lake has a variety of fish in it. Avid anglers and beginners alike can enjoy it. Lake Superior nearby provides a place to go and swim as well. Makes a great Basecamp for all there is to do in area.
Disappointed that we couldn't camp there this fall due to rock festival. I hope all the agate heads enjoyed it :p
Nice Campground on Muskallonge Lake with Lake Superior a short walk across the road. The guys didn't catch much as far as fishing goes. The stars at night were amazing!! Very friendly people, clean bathrooms with showers and hot water. They provide fire wood and ice for good prices also.
Spent a week camping in a travel trailer here with family. The sites were good size but mine as well as my parents' site were pretty uneven requiring quite a few leveling blocks. Also, there was only one power box for multiple sites but enough for all of them that requires us to use an a 30amp extension cord. One thing to also note is that assigned sites are IN FRONT of the post and not behind. We had an issue with someone setting up camp on our site because of this. Instead of letting them keep the site, the staff made them move because the reservations are based on specific sites and not just availability for specific dates. Ice and firewood are sold at the entrance for $2 and $4 respectively. There are a couple of camp stores 5 minutes from camp and one has boats to rent. Bathrooms and showers were clean as the close for an hour in the morning and an hour in the evening for cleaning. Overall had a great time and would love to come back.
